We drove over and met with Paula, the owner's daughter, who drove us all around the campground. They ended up putting us on site 0, which was close to the owner's place. And we were able to stay there for the full two and a half weeks.
Our site was incredible. We had a beautiful wooden deck, overlooking the pond and waterfall. Wes pent so many hours and days, just sitting outside and watching the ducks. Every couple of days the owner would stop by and ask if everything was ok. And we were always happy to report how great everything was. Granted, Rt 27 was right behind us, going into Boothbay, but after a day, we didn't even hear it. We even slept with the windows open.
Each campsite had their own trashcan, which was emptied every day. Their rental cabins were adorable. They looked rustic on the outside but were completely remodeled on the inside.
The grounds were immaculate and always kept that way. The grass was always cut, there was no trash or junk laying around and that we got all that for $54 a night before our Good Sam discount was unbelievable.
They also have a shuttle to take you in to Boothbay Harbor.
Between the campground and the beauty of Boothbay and it's neighboring communities, we know we'll be back soon. We fell in love.
