Our time here has been fun and educational. We've enjoyed making new forever friends that we look forward to seeing again in the near future. But we've learned that when we start sitting inside, hiding out, it's time to hit the road.
We talked about leaving in January, and in hindsight, we should have followed our instincts and left then. But being somewhere familiar was comforting after leaving home behind. But we didn't start this journey for comfort and familiarity. We want to see the new, the unusual, all this country has to offer.
We've reached an agreement. When one of us wants to move on, we move on. Our instincts haven't failed us yet, and we're going to listen to them more.
Our next stop is one month in north central Florida. After that, Georgia and North Carolina. We've made reservations through mid-April. Our plans to follow the coast up north has also changed. The campgrounds are too busy and expensive. So, we'll make our trek up north in a more inland manner. The same destination - just a different journey. It's what I love about this life. We change our minds and just go.
I'm with my best friend and my two furkids. What more could I want?
Life is Good.
