One main reason is that I get to take Sage down to the beach before 10 am and after 5pm. That's important to me because I want her to experience what I love.
The second reason is that Hilton Head has over 60 miles of bicycling paths. This is our first trip with the bikes and Sage's trailer, so we couldn't ask for better trial runs.
Third, we loved the Motorcoach Resort on Hilton Head. Lots of shade and only a mile from the beach. Pinckney island National Wildlife Refuge. Things to do if we feel like it, but a beautiful site if we don't feel like doing anything. There is a small lake for Dave to go fishing.
Since Sunny is not towable yet, we made a reservation for a small rental car with Enterprise. I just call them the morning after we arrive and they'll come get me to get the car. That small convenience has gotten us to move away from a decade long relationship with Avis to Enterprise. We will probably do the same thing this fall when we go to New Mexico. If we decide to stay somewhere for a couple of days, we'll just call Enterprise. Hopefully, by next year, we'll have our Blue ox towing package and we'll be able to take Sunny with us.
Now, it's time for lists and what else we need to take with us as well as clean the house, ready to leave. We have a housesitter to stay with the other three dogs, so we won't have to worry about the house while we're gone.
Getting excited!
